Dear Parents,
As you turn the last page, I wanted to share a bit about what sparked this book. My inspiration comes from my own journey of maturing as a parent. I’m a mother of five, and believe me—they are all so wildly different. The eldest can be seen as maybe quiet or timid, but she’s so observant and doesn’t miss a thing. The second oldest might be seen as bossy or a little extra, yet her personality is so magnetic—she has a natural way with words and connecting with people. And the baby boy? He could definitely be seen as obnoxious, but he’s unapologetic, living like the world is his oyster. Sometimes, I wish I could live as fearlessly as he does.

This book is really about embracing those differences. Someone might use a word meant to limit or define your child, but it’s up to us as parents to teach them how to flip that script—turn a negative into something positive and create their own narrative.
